世界に一つだけの花

During my first visit to Japan in 2008, my Japanese teacher at Niigata University played this song during class where we studied the lyrics and was told it was one of the most well-known songs in Japan.

Not only do I like the song but also find the lyrics to be relevant and meaningful.

A chilly summer - photos taken with Fujifilm Natura Classica

This must be the coolest summer I've ever experienced in Sydney. We're halfway through December and the weather has been between 20~24 degrees. Just the way I like it! I hope it's like this all throughout summer.

Epiphany - listen to your own voice

I realised it all comes down to independent thinking. From now on I'm going to listen to my own voice and no longer be influenced by the opinions of my parents, friends, society etc. That way, even if I fail or make a mistake I'll only have myself to blame and learn from it instead of being bitter towards someone else later.

In order to do so, one must have self-confidence and courage!
Let's DO it!

Sculpture by the Sea 2011 Bondi Sydney - photos taken with Fujifilm Natura Classica

A few weeks ago I went to see the annual Sculpture by the Sea with a friend at Bondi for the first time. It was interesting to see unique sculptures along the coastal walk from Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach with the picturesque backdrop. It reminded me of Hakone Museum of Art which is also set outdoors but, must say, nothing can beat Sydney's views. There are so many things I haven't done and seen in Sydney even though I've lived here all my life. Should make an extra effort from now on, feel like I've missed out!
