D-21 Kani (crab) party

During my last month back in Sydney before I left for Japan, I did "D-[no of days left]" post for this blog. Now that I only have 21 days left here I will do the same for for my last moments here in Japan to reminiscence my life in Yoko when I'm pulling my hair studying of law exams *shudder*.

I've handed in my final UTS ICS project (a monstrous 5000 word assignment worth 50% for the final semester) which technically means I am now on my Spring holidays AND have completed the Arts in International Studies course of my double degree! Even better, my mum will visit me in Japan TOMORROW!!!! I'm so excited. So I think today's the perfect time to start the whole "D-day" posts since I'll be out and about around Tokyo and Yokohama taking photos in the next few weeks!
I'm so HAPPY!!!!
This is the best feeling. Ahhh...life is good.

So I'm off now to get ready and head off to uni with M where we will meet our Japanese teacher and class mates and have a Kani (Crab) party at Okuno sensei's place!
Photos will be uploaded later!

Edit!
Here are some shots taken at Okuno sensei's place. It was such a warm atmosphere with lots of food and laughter! I'm going to miss all my teachers and classmates :(

Vivian Maier

I haven`t updated my bloglist in a very long time but I stumbled across an amazing blog dedicated to Vivan Marier, a photographer from the 1950s to 1990s. The images are intimate yet profound, capturing the simplicities of everyday life.
Looks like I will be delving into the images for the next few days. Ah, just the thought of it makes my heart happy. Teehee.

Three-day weekend - Gakkenflex TLR film camera

Gakkenflex TLR

First week of uni has been busy but somewhat enjoyable. Rosy visited on Friday and we shopped and ate for three days, my two favourite activities. Must finish UTS assignment today. Thankfully it's a public holiday so I have all day. No excuses.......but the weather's so beautiful today.

Sayonara natsu yasumi - photos taken with Olympus trip 35

There's something calm and comforting when you fall asleep to the sound of rain. The crisp Autumn breeze is perfection these days in comparison to the horrid humidity we had to endure for four consecutive months.

Gakken TLR

Look who did a whole lot of assembling this afternoon. So much for doing my proposal in the study room.

I can finally use the TLR camera that I bought in April!

Thanks to Blinded by Light I didn't have to spend another extra hour looking up all the kanji I didn't know on the instructions.

Loaded film and can't wait to test shoot tomorrow!
